Buying a house is a major investment and often far from simple. But now in some Italian municipalities they have introduced a novelty that could be a major change in the real estate market: selling houses abandoned just 1 euro, in exchange for restructuring. An excellent solution for those who want to buy a home but do not have the ability to deal with the huge costs required by the real estate market. On page 5 you will find the 3 municipalities who first joined the initiative.
The owners of homes for sale have indicated the City as an intermediary, and buyers (individuals or companies) will only bear the costs necessary to restructure, while maintaining their original architecture and respecting the environment. Anyone can participate in the project, provided they present a restructuring plan within a year of purchase, and that guarantees to meet the costs for the registration, perfecting and stacking.

After obtaining the necessary permissions you have two months to start work. The restructuring costs can be up to 25 thousand euro, particularly for larger homes, such as & ldquo bunk ", typical structures Sicilian built on several levels, and in some cases also come in four floors with a total area of 60 square meters.

The municipalities participating in the initiative are now three: Salemi Trapani), Gangi Palermo) Carrega Ligure Alessandria), countries where the number of houses abandoned is growing. A Carrega Ligure, for example, the number of inhabitants has fallen by more than three thousand to just 98, after a wave of emigration to America and the subsequent abandonment of entire areas of the village.

L 'goal is to rehabilitate run-down areas of the old town and counteract the abandonment, as in the case of Salemi, where several buildings were damaged by the earthquake in 1968.

The houses initially available for the project were 22, and they are still 16 to buy: those interested can contact the appropriate offices of the municipal administrations.
